You can hear the sound of the whale from your dome. The 2nd day its about all day exploring betwen the fiords of magellan strait. Its poisible to watch many species of animals. This was the highlight of an incredible 3 week trip to south america, which included many once in a lifetime experiences, including rappelling into an ice cave, puma tracking and seeing puma cubs in torres del paine, and doing some incredible hike and flies with my paraglider. The knowledge, enthusiasm , and fun spirit of the crew is incredible. And they work very hard to ensure you are comfortable and having a great time. The food was great and always more than enough, with plenty of drinks like coffee and pisco sours. The amount of wildlife we saw was unending. Humpback, sei whales, dolphins, seals , sea lions, fox, penguins, cormorant, and many other birds. Taking the boat each day had new adventures with magnificent glaciers and other-worldy terrain surrounding, abundant life. Pictures and videos really can't begin to do justice, but there were plenty opportunity for great photos for those interested. While it may seem expensive at first glance, my dad and I both considered it a bargain for the experience and service we received. Our dome was perfect and cozy and fed by a cute fireplace. It had a great view and is one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed.
